Global milk production is projected to increase by 0.9 percent in 2023, marking a second year of slow growth. While some regions, such as South America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania, are expected to see volume reductions in milk output, Asia, North America, and Central America and the Caribbean are anticipated to experience limited expansions. Factors such as rising milk yields and cattle numbers in India and Pakistan, as well as high output in large-scale dairy farms in China, are likely to drive the growth in Asian milk production.
