Unique History Born in Ribera del Duero, Spain
Virtus stems from the story of two passions:
The first, a passion for horses. Mariano Escribano, a cavalry officer,
instilled a strong love and admiration for horses in his children and grandchildren from a young age.
The second is a passion for wine.
In 1986, Paloma Escribano realised her dream of creating for the raw materials, eschewing the use of chemicals. This led her to become one of the first women winemakers in the region, and also one of the pioneers in creating a boutique winery.
The current owner, Iñigo Lopez de la Osa Escribano, makes his dream come true by merging the two family passions in the Virtus project.
