Kahramanmaraş, a province in Turkey, is playing a significant role in the country's fish exports, particularly trout. In 2020, the province earned 167 million Turkish lira from processing and exporting 3,700 tons of trout to 54 countries, including China, the USA, and Iraq. The Kahramanmaraş Fish Producers Association produced an estimated 500 thousand tons of fish this season and has a capacity to produce 750 thousand tons annually. The province's fish farming is possible due to its cold waters and quality feed, and it is the second largest fish producer in Turkey, following Istanbul.
