The 2024-2025 fruit export season has seen a 26.5% increase in revenue compared to the previous season, with a total of US$ 9.33 billion FOB exported. Fresh fruit made up 67.7% of this total, dried fruit 11.6%, and other forms like dehydrated, frozen, canned, juiced, and oiled fruits made up the rest. Cherries were the most valued fresh fruit exported, with a 75% increase in value and a nearly threefold increase in volume exported to China. The export value and growth in value to the US were also significant. The 2023-24 season, which ended in August 2024, saw a total fruit export value of US$ 9.3 billion FOB, marking the highest figure in the last 10 years with a 13.1% growth compared to the previous season. China was the top destination for total fruit exports, with the US in second place. Cherries remained the top fresh fruit exported in value, with a significant increase in both value and volume exported to China.
