2024/2025 soybean harvest in Bahia expected to reach new production record

The 2024/2025 soybean harvest in Bahia promises to be the largest in history. With significant growth compared to the previous year, the production of the oilseed in the state is expected to reach new levels. Data released by the Association of Farmers and Irrigators of Bahia (Aiba) indicate a 6.3% increase in productivity, 7.8% in the planted area and 14.7% in total production. With the sowing completed, a planted area of 2.135 million hectares was confirmed, with production expected to reach 8.582 million tons of the oilseed. This result is the result of a set of factors that converged to create a favorable scenario for soybean cultivation in the state.
