The 2024/2025 soybean harvest in Bahia is projected to be the largest ever, with a 6.3% increase in productivity, 7.8% increase in planted area, and 14.7% increase in total production, reaching 8.582 million tons. This is due to favorable climate conditions, technological advances, efficient agricultural practices, investments in research and development, and support from public policies like the Program for the Development of Agriculture (Prodeagro). Bahia is becoming one of the main soybean producing centers in the country, which is expected to boost the local economy and create jobs.
