The article highlights the significant role of Tekirdağ in analyzing 30% of Turkey's raw milk samples, with a total of 107,000 samples from 14 provinces, aiming to improve breed quality and health. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which pays 100 TL per cow for milk samples that meet certain criteria. The analysis focuses on evaluating fat, protein, and somatic cell counts to determine the health and suitability of the cows for breeding. This information is then used to select healthy animals for breeding and improve milk quality, with the hope of increasing government support in the future.
