The article highlights the commencement of cabbage planting in Niğde, Turkey, a region leading in white cabbage production. Approximately 70-80% of the cabbage produced is exported, with the rest sold domestically. The planting started in Kaynarca village, one of the 24 villages in the city known for its cabbage production. The area dedicated to cabbage cultivation spans about 20 thousand decares, and the expected yield is around 150 thousand tons. The Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Director, Asım Baş, expressed optimism about the yield and the need for improved storage infrastructure.
