In an effort to enhance vegetable production in Manisa, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has launched the 'Tomato, Pepper and Eggplant Production Development Project' as part of the 2024 'Enabling the Use of Agricultural Lands Project' (TAKEP). This initiative has led to the distribution of 800 thousand seedlings to local producers, supported by a 75 percent grant. The project, unveiled at a ceremony by the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, aims to lower input costs for farmers, utilize underused lands, and improve the production of disease-free, high-quality vegetables. Metin Öztürk, the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, emphasized the project's objective to boost and diversify income for small-scale plant production enterprises throughout the province.
