In an interview with ISNA, Kurosh Nowrozi discussed the forecast for this year's fall crop in Khuzestan, highlighting an increase in cultivated land to 910,000 hectares from last year's 870,000 hectares. Water supply is sufficient in the Dez and Karun basins, while the Karkhe and Maron basins rely on rainfall. The cultivation area for irrigated wheat is projected to be 510,000 to 530,000 hectares, and for dry wheat, 200,000 to 220,000 hectares. Additionally, 70,000 hectares are allocated for barley and 60,000 hectares for rapeseed. Wheat, barley, and rapeseed cultivation will commence in November, with beet cultivation starting in Mehr and continuing until the end of January.
