The edible oil market seems to have calmed down a bit since sunflowers can now be exported from Ukraine via alternative routes, Attila Vörös, executive director of the Association of Responsible Food Producers (FÉSZ), told Világggazdaság. Although there are regular reports from Germany, France, Italy and even England that sunflower oil is in short supply, and the same can be seen scattered in domestic stores, the problem is not systemic in the domestic market. The specialist emphasized that we cannot speak generally about the lack of edible oil in Hungary, and that there are stocks of sunflower oil available, but the prices are higher than before.
