A trial carried out by technicians from INTA and members of the Pork Producers Chamber of Córdoba (Cappcor), over eight consecutive seasons, showed that the use of swine effluents as an organic amendment can be key to improving soybean productivity. From the initial 2646 kilos per hectare, these applications allowed for an increase of almost 1900 additional kilos, reaching a mark of 4574 kilos of beans. Compared to the control plot, which never received application of these effluents, the treatments registered an increase of close to one point in organic matter content after eight years. The experience, conducted by INTA professional Manfredi, Nicolás Sosa, along with Diego Mathier and Marcos Bragachini, yielded positive changes in terms of macro and micronutrients, as well as in the physical parameters of the soil.
