A $2.5 million project is underway in the Nurata district of Uzbekistan to cultivate lavender and rose hips over 500 hectares, with plans to extract oils from these crops. The project, initiated by FHH GARDEN FLOWER MCHJ, is set to employ 130 people and produce 25,000 liters of lavender and rosehip oil annually for export. The project is divided into two stages, with the first focusing on land preparation, irrigation, and planting, and the second on oil production. This initiative is part of Uzbekistan's larger strategy to develop the lavender industry, which began in 2020 with the planting of 1 million lavender seedlings.
