A virus is attacking tomato crops and driving up prices in the markets.

In recent days, tomato prices in Moroccan markets have seen a noticeable increase, with the installment selling price on Sunday, April 14, 2026, ranging between 15 and 17 dirhams per kilogram, while the wholesale market price ranged between 11 and 13 dirhams, and the price of a box weighing approximately 30 kilograms ranged between 350 and 400 dirhams.
