According to the institute, "this moderate advance reflects the more cautious stance of producers in the face of rising production costs for the season." Imea also informed that, although sowing began "at the fastest pace in the last five years", the drought and high temperatures in various regions reduced the indicator to levels below the historical average, increasing concerns about the development of crops, especially those subjected to water stress in the initial phases.
