The Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association announced the export data for the first quarter of 2026. According to this, Turkey's fresh fruit and vegetable exports increased by 30 percent compared to the same period last year, rising from 821 million dollars to 1 billion 70 million dollars. During the same period, exports of fruit and vegetable products fell by 6 percent, from 542 million dollars to 510 million dollars. In total, fresh fruit and vegetable and product exports increased by 16 percent to 1 billion 580 million dollars. Association President Hayrettin Uçak stated that the performance in the first quarter presented a positive picture in terms of year-end targets. Uçak stated that they target exports of over 7 billion dollars for 2026 and expressed that this target could be achieved if climatic conditions proceed favorably.
