It had already been in the air. But Gonzalo del Piano, general manager of Agricultores Federados Argentinos (AFA), provided details in the last hours about the cooperative company's strategy to advance in the biofuels market.
This same week AFA announced the signing of an agreement with ADNOC Global Trading, one of the main petroleum traders in the world, belonging to an energy group that is 100% owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the executive, this alliance seeks to explore the supply of bioethanol for that region, which would be an important step towards the transnationalization of the company.
At the Agroeducation Congress in Rosario, Del Piano stated that the agreement "opens many doors for us to develop potential joint projects, but we are still in an analysis stage, researching the technologies that could be applied and the formats in which this could be carried out..."
