During February 2026, the national production of the agricultural sector registered a growth of 0.71% compared to the same month in 2025, supported by the positive result of the livestock subsector (1.84%), while the agricultural subsector decreased by 0.13%, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). In the livestock subsector, higher production volumes were observed for pork (3.8%), fresh milk (2.4%), beef (1.9%), and poultry (1.8%). In the agricultural subsector, lower production volumes were recorded for maize choclo (-14.1%), mandarin (-16.4%), coffee (-18.2%), tomato (-25.7%), sweet potato (-29.6%), and paprika (-81.5%).
