Egypt: Agriculture and ACSAD discuss establishing a farm for distinguished breeds of sheep and goats

Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Dr. Nasr El-Din El-Obeid, Executive Director of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), discussed ways of joint cooperation. During the meeting, the Minister of Agriculture stressed the importance of joint cooperation between the two sides in many projects that are being implemented in cooperation with the Agricultural Research Center and the Desert Center, especially with regard to climate change and agriculture in arid and semi-arid areas. During the meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation to implement a joint project for animal production, by establishing a model farm in Egypt, distinguished breeds of sheep and goats, in addition to the possibility of cooperation in reviving the Barqi breeds and expanding them, in cooperation with the Agricultural Research Center.
