The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. El-Qassir, has announced significant milestones for Egypt's agricultural sector, with the opening of Morocco's markets to Egyptian potatoes and Canada's markets to Egyptian strawberries. These achievements are a result of successful negotiations and meeting the phytosanitary requirements set by the importing countries, as highlighted by Dr. Saad Moussa of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine. This development is part of Egypt's broader strategy to boost its agricultural exports, which have emerged as a crucial source of national income, with exports surpassing 2.2 million tons and valued at approximately 1.5 billion dollars in just the first quarter of this year.
