The 100th Anniversary Symposium and Workshop Program of the Sugar Sector in Turkey, held in Antalya between April 8–10, 2026, brought together all stakeholders of the sector. The program included Kayseri Sugar executives along with Hüseyin Akay, Chairman of the Board of the Kayseri Beet Planters Cooperative. In the evaluations made at the symposium, the 100-year accumulation of the sugar sector was discussed, highlighting the need for structural transformation towards the future. Structural problem emphasis in cooperatives Hüseyin Akay stated that despite the strong foundations of the cooperative model in Turkey, it has not reached the desired level.
