The sales of Agaricus (mushrooms) amounted to 334 million kilos, 7% less than in 2019/20. Pennsylvania accounted for 64% of total white mushroom sales and California, in second place, accounted for 13%. The total value was estimated at €840 million, 8% less than the previous season. Chestnut mushrooms, including Portabellos and Criminis, accounted for 87.5 million kilos, an increase of 2% compared to the previous season. Chestnut mushrooms accounted for 26% of the volume sold and for 30% of the value of mushroom sales.
