REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman conveyed that the government will rehabilitate damaged agricultural land in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The main focus of the rehabilitation includes replanting coffee plantations in Aceh and the reseeding of approximately 11 thousand hectares of rice fields that were completely destroyed by floods (puso). Amran explained that the government is preparing two approaches according to the level of damage. For coffee plantations in Aceh that can no longer be restored, the government has decided to implement full replanting. The land will be replanted with new seedlings provided by the Ministry of Agriculture. “For the coffee in Aceh that has been completely destroyed, we will replant it,” he said in a press conference at the Mentan Office, Jakarta, Thursday (11/12/2025).
