Prices for Russian wheat with 12.5% protein with delivery in December-January rose slightly due to a short-term increase in demand but then returned to previous levels at $227-228/t FOB. The price for American wheat decreased to $237/t (-$6/t), Romanian wheat to $233/t (-$1/t). French and Ukrainian wheat remained unchanged at $228/t. Tunisia last week purchased 125,000 t of soft wheat (11.5% protein), 100,000 t of durum wheat, and 125,000 t of barley. In terms of FOB Novorossiysk, the price for 11.5% protein soft wheat was $223-225/t, durum wheat $279-285/t, and barley $235-238/t. Jordan contracted for 60,000 t of wheat (12.5% protein) on a CFR basis. The estimated purchase price in terms of FOB Novorossiysk was about $226/t for 12.5% protein wheat.
