South Korea: Anchovy fishing grounds in the eastern part of the South Sea this summer are expected to have a good harvest

The National Fisheries Research and Development Institute announced that it is expected that anchovy fisheries in the southern coast will continue for the time being, centering on the eastern waters of the southern seas this summer. According to the South Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the National Aquatics Center, as a result of an anchovy resource survey in the southern coast of the South Sea (Goheung-Geoje) in spring, which can estimate the formation of anchovy fishing grounds in summer, anchovy eggs and young anchovies hatched in April increased significantly compared to the previous year. In particular, compared to last year's 1.7 pieces per 10㎥, the number of anchovy eggs increased by about 45 times to 75.7 pieces per 10㎥.
