SEVILLA, Dec. 21 (EUROPA PRESS) - The Junta de Andalucía is going to request an urgent meeting with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to address possible alternatives that help the community's fishing sector in light of the forecast of 20 million euros in losses due to the cuts in fishing quotas and slaughter days set by the European Union for 2022. The Governing Council has learned this Tuesday of the conclusions of the report prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development regarding the economic impact and social that will have in Andalusia the fishing opportunities for 2022 recently approved by the Council of Ministers of the EU. The Board estimates that the Andalusian fishing sector will suffer losses of 6 million euros, adding the decrease that the accounts of the affected shipowners and sailors will experience (215 boats that bring together about 1,400 people).
