The situation has stabilized somewhat after the recent fall in industrial apple prices. Growers, however, still have the option to sell apples at a higher price than for the selling price offered by major processors. As a result, the raw material goes abroad. There is talk of high demand in the industry for apple concentrate. From April 7, many processing plants in the country have the following rates for suppliers: PLN 0.45 per kilogram for the wet industry for the production of apple concentrate and PLN 0.50 per kilogram for the dry industry for the production of NFC juices. Therefore, the purchase rates are respectively PLN 0.05 lower. At the same time, fruit growers can get more for the dry industry than middlemen in too large plants in the country.
