The Infrastructure Commission (CI) approved this Tuesday (7) an amendment that includes biogas among the guidelines of the national agricultural policy, granting incentives for the acquisition of equipment aimed at the generation of renewable energy, such as solar, wind, biomass, and biogas, with special attention to family farming. The PL 2.647/2022 had already been approved in different committees and was sent to the Senate Plenary, where it received amendments. With the possibility of change, the text returned to the CI, which accepted the inclusion of biogas among the renewable sources. Authored by deputy Pedro Uczai (PT-SC), the text was reported by senator Wilder Morais (PL-GO). The project seeks to facilitate small producers' access to decentralized energy generation technologies, with cost reduction, increased sustainability, and strengthening of energy autonomy in the countryside.
