The Rural Agricultural Development Program (Agro Rural) inaugurated the Cortinera reservoir in the Caleramayo micro-basin, in the district of Tuti, Caylloma province (Arequipa). The infrastructure has a storage capacity of 1500 m³ of water and was constructed with high-resistance geomembrane. The work demanded an investment of S/221,844.18 and will directly benefit 13 farming families, guaranteeing the irrigation of 35 hectares of crops through an efficient sprinkler system. This reservoir is part of the execution of the national project "Improvement of water recharge service and rainwater use in 14 departments," with the objective of ensuring the availability of water resources and strengthening family agriculture in the country.
