GENERAL ROCA (Río Negro) - The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa) found no presence of salmonid diseases in the analysis carried out on samples taken from fish produced in the zone free of these pathologies, in the provinces of Neuquén and Río Black. Within the framework of specific epidemiological surveillance of diseases that affect salmonids, the Senasa Regional Laboratory located in San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén province, processed - using the histopathology technique - the samples of rainbow trout fingerlings produced in El Bolsón to supply the Alicura and Piedra del Águila reservoirs. The results were negative for the presence of diseases that affect salmonids and that are mandatory notification, according to group 1 of Senasa Resolution 153/2021. In summary, these negative results indicate the absence of the diseases that are monitored under the Salmonid Disease Surveillance Plan.
