Russia has seen a growth in its agricultural exports, reaching $10.3 billion this year, an increase of 1.2 billion from the previous year. The country is aiming to export agricultural products worth $25 billion in 2020. As a major grain exporter, Russia exports to 138 countries and is currently working on increasing the production of new commodities, opening new markets, developing agrology, and promoting Russian agricultural products abroad. The Ministry of Agriculture is also working on obtaining the right to supply pork, peas, and cereals to the Chinese market and expanding the list of dairy products supplied. Additionally, Russia is seeking to gain access to supply poultry, pork, and beef to Japan and Malaysia, and is working with European colleagues to remove restrictions on poultry meat and expand the list of regions from which venison can be supplied.
