Six months after classifying the whole of mainland France as a "high" risk level for avian influenza (it was last November 5), the Ministry of Agriculture has decided to loosen the noose of restrictions on most of the national territory. In detail, as of Tuesday, May 10, only 19 departments of the Grand Ouest remain on maximum alert. All of them are either concerned by recent discoveries of outbreaks of infection, or bordering on these directly impacted sectors.
