In March, the Aydın region, renowned for its agricultural prowess in producing figs, olives, and olive oil, achieved a significant milestone by exporting olives and olive oil valued at 66 million dollars. This accomplishment is part of the region's broader success in increasing its export figures, with olive oil being particularly celebrated as 'yellow gold'. Despite facing a 9 percent decrease in exports and an impending ban on bulk olive oil exports set for 2024, the Aegean Olive and Olive Oil Exporters' Association (EZZİB), under the umbrella of the Aegean Exporters' Association (EİB), has reached a historic export milestone in 2023, ensuring its continued presence in global markets.
