Azerbaijan surpasses China in imports of Ukrainian beef, and Egypt becomes the largest buyer of domestic wheat

Between January and October 2025, Ukraine exported 15,330 tons of frozen beef, up 4% from the same period last year. At the same time, revenue grew by 8%, reaching $64M. The largest shipments of beef went to Azerbaijan (33%), China (28%), Uzbekistan (16%), Kazakhstan (8%), and Moldova (6%). According to the first nine months of 2025, China was the top importer of Ukrainian beef. Additionally, over the first 10 months of the year Ukraine exported 14,940 tons of live weight cattle, a 16% increase. Export revenue increased by 42%, totaling $34.61M. Main export destinations included Lebanon (84%), Kazakhstan (9%), and Libya (6.4%). Meanwhile, Egypt sharply increased its Ukrainian wheat purchases this season, becoming the country’s leading buyer.
