Argentina is experiencing significant progress in its harvest, with lower production estimates due to adverse weather conditions. In the Bahía Blanca Grain Exchange region, while the harvest covers 95% of the area, reduced yields have caused a 14% drop in production. Despite this, barley exports have seen a 10% year-on-year growth, with China as the main recipient, reaching 1.16 Mt. Malt shipments, however, decreased by 6% year-on-year, with Brazil as the primary destination. The export sector has bought 1.2 times less brewing barley and 1.4 times less feed barley compared to the previous year, and the industrial sector has also decreased its purchases by 48%.
