REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Badan Pangan Nasional (Bapanas) or National Food Agency (NFA) is drafting a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) on Food Rescue. "For this year, the National Food Agency has been entrusted again to draft the Perpres on Food Rescue," said Director of Food Safety and Quality Standard Development at Bapanas, Yusra Egayanti, during an online discussion in Jakarta, Tuesday (17/2/2026). According to her, this is already included in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 38 of 2025 on the Program for the Development of Presidential Regulations in 2026. "The National Food Agency is currently forming an Inter-Ministerial Committee and will soon proceed with the drafting of the perpres as a mandate from Keppres 38 of 2025," she said. The draft Perpres on Food Rescue will include policy directions, the implementation of food rescue, monitoring, evaluation, funding, and the division of roles among ministries/agencies in the annex.
