The Brazilian bean market begins the second quarter of 2026 in an adjustment scenario, marked by production losses in Paraná and a retreat in prices after significant increases at the beginning of the year. The combination of climatic problems, reduced planted area, and changes in supply and demand dynamics has impacted both the field and the market. The second bean crop in Paraná, the state's main one, is expected to register a significant drop in 2026. According to a survey by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), from the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab), the planted area was estimated at 239 thousand hectares, a 31% reduction compared to the previous crop. The reduction in the area is expected to directly impact production, with an expected drop of at least 20%.
