Russia's beef exports are projected to grow by 223% in the first half of the year, with China being the main buyer, as the country recovers from African swine fever. Pork exports are expected to grow by 16%, while poultry and mutton exports are expected to decrease. The Russian Ministry of Agriculture is focusing on satisfying domestic needs, but is also compensating manufacturers for part of the costs of certifying products for foreign delivery. The Ministry predicts that meat exports will exceed $100 million by the end of 2021, largely due to increased supplies to China, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and Morocco.
