According to operational data of the regional governing bodies of the agro-industrial complex of Russia, as of August 4, 2020, collected from agricultural organizations, on farms, including individual entrepreneurs, berry production amounted to 10.8 thousand tonnes, i.e. 35% more than for the same period of 2019 (8 thousand tonnes). The main types of berries grown in the country are garden strawberries, currants, raspberries, gooseberries, sea buckthorn, blueberries and honeysuckle, reports East Fruit.
