The effects of the trade war between the United States and China are proving to be "across other products that, suddenly, saw their main buyer market disappear," beyond the attention focused on soybeans. According to the Rosario Stock Exchange (BCR), "sorghum is a great proof of this." The intensification of the conflict between the two economic powers has had a dramatic impact on the export figures of this North American cereal. An analysis by the BCR showed that U.S. sorghum exports "are at 13-year lows." The drop is precipitous. Between January and September of the current year, "800,000 tons of sorghum were shipped from the United States to the rest of the world."
