In the first four months of 2024, Japan emerged as the most generous payer for Brazilian pork, shelling out US$3.25 per kg, followed by the United States, Canada, South Korea, and Argentina, all of which remunerated above the average sales price of US$2.26/kg. Notably, Paraná, Brazil, which exported 43.7 thousand tons of pork in Q1 2024, reported Singapore, Uruguay, Vietnam, and Argentina as the leading consumers, paying above the Brazilian average price.
