Brazil should produce 10.570 million tons of beef in 2023

Porto Alegre, March 8, 2023 – Brazil is expected to produce 10.570 million tons of beef (in carcass equivalent) in 2023, according to information released by the Gain Report bulletin, by attachés of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The volume should exceed the 10.350 million tons produced in 2022.
To reach this volume, the country must slaughter 43.420 million cattle next year, compared to 42.250 million animals slaughtered in 2022 The forecast is that the country will export 3.012 million tons of beef in 2023, compared to the 2.898 million tons exported in 2022.
