The National Association of Exporters of Sucos Cítricos (CitrusBR) has forecasted that Brazil's orange juice production for the 2020/21 harvest is expected to drop by 32% compared to the previous season, reaching the second lowest level in history at 817,744 tons of FCOJ Equivalent. This is due to a cycle of low fruit harvest and climatic issues, leading to a 23.5% reduction in exports and the lowest physical stocks since 2019. The orange harvest in São Paulo and Mineiro regions is also projected to see a significant decrease of 33.6% compared to the previous harvest, affecting a total of 850,000 feet around orange farms.
