The month of April begins to show a rebound in Argentine beef export volumes. After a first quarter with quite discouraging export numbers, April shows improvements in both volume and price, although the annual balance remains negative. Data reported by INDEC shows for the last month a total of foreign sales of 52.1 thousand product weight tons, which represents a 17% increase compared to the 44.5 thousand tons reported previously. However, compared to records from a year ago, April still fails to recover ground, being the fifth consecutive month to register a sales performance inferior in terms of volume operated. In this way, in the first four months of the year, the total shipped amounts to 195.7 thousand product tons, generating USD 964 million in billing during the four-month period.
