Brazilian production will renew the already expected record for 2025 (32.06 million tons) in 2026 despite the projected drop in beef production, according to the forecast of the National Supply Company (Conab). The increase will be possible thanks to record production of pork and poultry, according to the agency linked to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. Poultry meat production will rise by 2.8%, to 15.9 million tons in 2026, and pork production will increase by 3.6%, to 5.8 million tons. In contrast, beef production will be reduced by 3.6%, to 10.6 million tons, the lowest volume since 2023. After the record production of 2024 (11 million tons), Brazilian beef production fell in 2025 and will continue to shrink in 2026 because, due to higher prices, ranchers increased the number of females slaughtered, which reduced the replenishment of calves.
