In March, Brazil's coffee exports experienced a 6% decrease, totaling 3.6 million bags, compared to the same month the previous year, as reported by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Association (Cecafé). Although there was a slight increase in arabica coffee exports by 0.7%, there was a significant drop in robusta coffee exports by 65%. Additionally, exports of ground, roasted, and instant coffee experienced a 7.8% decrease. The annual decline in Brazilian coffee exports was more substantial in February, standing at 13.6%. Nevertheless, for the first time in nine months, arabica exports saw an increase in March, attributed to the resolution of container shortage and supply chain issues. Furthermore, the price of arabica coffee saw a slight decrease to $2.37 per pound in the May futures quotation on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) in New York.
