Brazilian sesame seeds receive approval for export to South Korea

The governments of South Korea and Guatemala have authorized the export of new agricultural products from Brazil. The South Koreans have authorized the export of Brazilian sesame. South Korea is one of the main destinations for agricultural products. In 2024 alone, the Asian country imported more than US$2.85 billion in agricultural products, with emphasis on the cereal, meat and oilseed sectors. The health authority of the Central American country confirmed that Brazilian exporters of gelatin and collagen are complying with the health requirements. “The opening of this market strengthens the commercial partnership between the countries, facilitating access for the Brazilian food and pharmaceutical industry to the Guatemalan market,” reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa).
