For the 2025/26 sugar production season in Central-South Brazil, international analysts forecast a rise in sugar output. According to Datagro, sugar mills are projected to process 612 million tons of sugarcane, which is slightly below the previous season's total. Despite this, sugar production is expected to increase due to a rise in cane allocated for sugar production, which is estimated to reach 51%. Various analysts, including StoneX and Hedgepoint, predict a range of production increases, with StoneX anticipating a 4% rise to 41.7 million tons and Hedgepoint expecting an 8% increase to 43.3 million tons. The sugarcane processing volume is expected to fall between 608 and 630 million tons. The sugarcane processing season is set to commence on April 1.
