Wine is a very important element of the entire economic picture of Bulgaria, said Minister of Agriculture and Food Georgi Tachov on the occasion of the official accession of our country to the European Cultural Route of Wine (Iter Vitis). He described the occasion for today's event, which took place at the National Press Club of BTA in Sofia, as impressive, because it is the opening of a path in our country in a shared cultural space and above all in the heart of the Old Continent. Minister Tachov noted that in Bulgarian lands there are millennia-old traditions in winemaking, and the natural conditions - climate, terroir, and soil, are a natural prerequisite for the development of modern wine tourism in our country.
