US launches investigation into Ecuadorian shrimp: Examination of allegations related to price dumping and government subsidies is underway

In December 2023, the United States International Trade Commission agreed to investigate Ecuadorian shrimp for supposedly selling shrimp at low prices (dumping) and because apparently the sector would be receiving subsidies from the Government of Ecuador.
