The refrigeration industry is going through a complex and heterogeneous moment that affects companies in the sector in diverse ways, but is characterized by total closures, layoffs, intermittent operation, and low activity; can this difficult present change based on international conditions? 2025 was an exceptional year for meat, and this could be observed in the record revenues in the exports of this product—the main one in Uruguay's export basket—which, in turn, explained much of the great performance of the placements last year.
